A Dangerous Stroll

A man took a stroll on Tuesday at about 7:30 p.m. when two boys walked up to him and demanded money. One of the boys pulled out a knife to threaten the man and then ran off after getting what they wanted. Although the victim was unhurt, it is still a serious issue. In my opinion I think that when people are not safe enough to walk out there front door to go on a walk, that it is completely un acceptable. The reason this article caught my eye was because i thought it was absolutely rediculous that just by going on a simple stroll on a path, you are being put in danger. I take walks frequently by myself to walk to a friends house or to the store, not even realizing the risk that I'am taking. I think its very sad that in this world now days, taking a walk by yourself is considered a "risk". I don't think that anyone expects to be threatened while just walking down the street but it happens. This article is a good warning to everyone about the dangers that are in places you would never expect.

Things To Come

While reading the article "Things To Come", it sparked some emotions from me. I'd have to say the first one was excitement! Seeing the picture that Dave put up of a touch screen computer/ Game table that first graders will be learning on beofre they grduate. I think it is so exciting to hear that the future will be here long "LONG" before the first graders of now graduate in 2020.

But then again this article also sparks fear in me considering all the new technology that we are coming with. This scares me in the sense that considering all of the things that we can do now, that will be alot more advanced in the future. Right not in the presence, even random "everyday people" have the capabilities to spy on people in thier own house without them even knowing. In the future there is no doubt in my mind that we will be so much more capable of accessing other peoples personal information.

This is what was going through my mind while reading this article. Some facts are pretty excting, but at the same time, some are VERY scary as well.
